Massage therapy sessions focus on soft tissue relief and recovery.Sports Kinesthetic and PT sessions focus on movement quality, mechanics, and long-term function.
Some sessions may overlap in techniques, but the intent and structure are different. This ensures clients receive the right service for their goals and avoids the common “I thought this was a spa day” problem.
What a Sports Kinesthetics Therapist Does
A Sports Kinesthetics Therapist focuses on how the body moves, not just how strong it is. This work sits at the intersection of physical therapy, biomechanics, and applied movement science. Instead of treating isolated symptoms, the therapist evaluates how joints, muscles, fascia, and neuromuscular patterns work together under real-world load. The goal is to restore efficient movement, reduce compensatory patterns, and improve performance while lowering the risk of injury.
- Detailed movement and gait analysis
- Identifying imbalances, restrictions, and faulty mechanics
- Hands-on techniques such as deep tissue and myofascial work
- Corrective movement strategies to retrain the nervous system
- Supporting recovery from overuse, strain, or sport-related injury
Personal Training focused on structured physical conditioning.
My role is to design and coach exercise programs that improve strength, endurance, mobility, and overall fitness based on a client’s goals. This is where progressive overload, conditioning plans, and accountability live.
- Strength and conditioning programming
- Cardiovascular and endurance training
- Technique coaching for lifts and exercises
- Goal-based programming such as fat loss, muscle gain, or general fitness
- Motivation, consistency, and performance tracking
